Dr. Minnich grew up in San Diego and went to Clairemont High School. He attended UCSD for his B.A. degree. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1987 from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Minnich worked in a private practice as a general dentist for two years in San Diego. In 1989 he began his two additional years of training as an orthodontic specialist at USC.

Dr. Minnich enjoys family activities, church and traveling with his wife and their two sons.
